(Due to the volume of cardiac cases we have at present we are no longer able to see primary respiratory cases and we advise referral of these cases to an internal medicine specialist) - we are still seeing cardiac cases as normal

dedicated to delivering compassionate expert cardiorespiratory care

CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals Victoria

CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals is dedicated to delivering compassionate expert cardiorespiratory care and providing the best possible outcome for your pet and family. With highly specialised training and state-of-the-art cardiac and respiratory diagnostics optimal medical therapy and interventional treatment are able to be provided.

The first person to contact if your cat or dog gets ill is always your usual vet. However, heart and lung diseases are complex areas of veterinary medicine, which may require specialist knowledge and experience for successful diagnosis and treatment.

CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals is independently owned and operated by Richard Woolley, the ONLY specialist veterinary cardiologist in Victoria.

If you are unfortunate enough to have a cat or dog diagnosed with heart disease and/or associated lung problems, your vet may refer your pet to Richard. If your pet is referred you can rest assured that they'll be in expert hands.

Richard offers a specialist mobile, in-practice cardiorespiratory service for all of Melbourne. He also has a clinic at the Melbourne University Veterinary Hospital Weribee on Wednesdays and holds regular regional clinics (see areas and dates below).

Cardio Respiratory Pet Referrals

This service aims to work in conjunction with referring veterinarians to offer a friendly and convenient mobile specialist cardiorespiratory service to veterinary practices. Richard can visit your practice and provide all the necessary diagnostic equipment to deliver the highest standard of care to your patients.

Due to the volume of primary cardiac cases at present it may be advised that primary respiratory cases are seen by an internal medicine specialist.

The main location for advanced surgical procedures is U-Vet (Melbourne University Small Animal Hospital) in Werribee but the Pet Emergency and Referral Hospital in Mornington may also be used.
