CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals Victoria
CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals is dedicated to delivering compassionate expert cardiac care and providing the best possible outcome for your pet and family. With highly specialised training and state-of-the-art cardiac diagnostics optimal medical therapy and interventional treatment are able to be provided.
The first person to contact if your cat or dog gets ill is always your usual vet. However, heart and lung diseases are complex areas of veterinary medicine, which may require specialist knowledge and experience for successful diagnosis and treatment.
CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals is independently owned and operated by Richard Woolley, the ONLY specialist veterinary cardiologist in Victoria.
If you are unfortunate enough to have a cat or dog diagnosed with heart disease and/or associated lung problems, your vet may refer your pet to Richard. If your pet is referred you can rest assured that they'll be in expert hands.
Richard offers a specialist cardiorespiratory service for all of Melbourne. He has a clinic at the Greencross Vets at the University Veterinary Hospital Weribee on Wednesdays and holds regular regional clinics (see areas and dates below).
This service aims to work in conjunction with referring veterinarians to offer a friendly and convenient specialist cardiorespiratory service to veterinary practices.
Due to the volume of primary cardiac cases at present it is advised that primary respiratory cases are seen by an internal medicine specialist.
The main location for advanced surgical procedures is Greencross Vets at the University in Werribee but the Emergency and Referral Hospital in Mornington and SouthPaws Malvern may also be used.
